An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
