I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
